Experience the virtual exhibit hall and meet the sponsors

April 22, 2021 By David Phandara ACES News

The Virtual Exhibit Hall is unlike anything ACES has done before. This event creates an experience similar to that of a live-booth, but in a virtual format.

The CEO and founder of PerfectIt, Daniel Heuman, is delighted to see what ACES has been able to put together.

He and his team are excited to meet the attendees at the virtual exhibit. To them, the conference is another place to call home.

“Whether it’s tea in the hall or whisky in the East End (you know who you are), there’s no event in the calendar like this conference,” said Heuman.

The ACES team, Kim Lawyer and Ashly Stewart, have worked tirelessly to get the hall up and running.

“We’re really excited that through ACES, we can offer this exhibit hall virtually that not only showcases our sponsors, but also allows our attendees to reach out to these companies,” Lawyer said.

At the helm of PerfectIt, the conference's Platinum sponsor, Heuman appreciates the connectivity within the ACES community.

“At PerfectIt, we spend our days buried in programming languages. So getting to meet everyone in person is a true joy.” said Heuman.

There won't be any in-person meetings at this year's conference, but there will be plenty of chances to connect with sponsors through the exhibit hall.

Finding the Time

There will be thirty-minute breaks between conference sessions, giving attendees the perfect opportunity to visit the hall.

For those who want to visit beyond the conference dates, most virtual hall features will be available until July 31, 2021. Live chat services are available only during the conference from 9 a.m. - noon and again from 1-5 p.m. EDT.

Making Contact

Each virtual booth offers an opportunity for the attendees who want to meet with a specific sponsor. In the top-right corner of each virtual booth will be a “Leave Your Card” button. Clicking on this button will leave a card containing the attendee's profile information, and an optional message if included for the sponsor.

Exhibit Hall Features

Each virtual booth follows a similar simple format. Services include videos, downloadable files, extra links, products and services from the company, and special offers for attendees.

“We've prepared our virtual booth to be the next best thing to a real one. If you've never seen PerfectIt before, the booth gives you the chance to learn about how much time you can save by running PerfectIt on your text,” Heuman said.

Attendees will also be able to interact with the sponsor through a live chat or by writing on the company conversation board. The board includes staff member profiles, downloadable file links, polls, and a discussion forum for attendees.

“This actually works better online than it does in person! Pop by our booth and tell us why you chose editing as your profession. Then read what everyone else wrote. The answers to this question are more beautiful than you can imagine,” Heuman said.

Want to speak with a staff member personally? Set up a meeting! Clicking on “Staff” shows available staff persons for each company during the exhibition.

Exhibitors are eager to meet attendees for live-chat and more during the conference, and access to all features from the virtual exhibit, except the live-chat, will be available until July 31, 2021.
