Become an ACES member

Full membership — $100
Editors working in academia, book publishing, corporations, education, freelance, government, marketing, publications, nonprofits, and retirees from these categories. These members are entitled to vote in elections and run for society executive positions. $100/year. 

Corporate membership — $100
Corporate membership is available for a group of at least three applicants submitted at the same time. A group must have one person designated as the administrator to facilitate dues assessment and membership management. Memberships are held in the name of each employee and the company retains the membership and the right to reassign as needed. $100/year 

Associate membership — $100
Those interested in editing but who have no professional background in the craft. These members cannot vote in Society elections. $100/year

Student membership — $50
Full- or part-time students enrolled at accredited colleges and universities who are pursuing a course of study leading to an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Persons enrolled only in classes for added professional certification, including courses offered through ACES, are not eligible for student status. $50/year, non-renewing.

Rejoin! 

Current members who want to renew their memberships can do so once renewal notices are emailed to them. They are emailed beginning 30 days before memberships expire. Or you can email membership@aceseditors.org to request that a notice be sent to you early.
