ACES Advanced Certificate in Editing

The Poynter ACES Advanced Certificate in Editing is for experienced editors who are seeking to move their work to a new level. It assumes knowledge of and experience in basic copy editing.

A key goal of the program is to encourage editors to apply critical thinking skills to deeper editing. We want editors to look at the structure and flow of longer pieces to ensure they are sound. And to isolate the essential elements of a story when cutting or curating content for different platforms and different audiences.
