ACES membership dues to increase in 2024

The Board of Directors for ACES: The Society for Editing has approved an increase in membership dues that will take effect on February 1, 2024. This represents the first dues rate increase for ACES members since 2011. The new annual membership rates, listed below, are intended to help the Society keep pace with the rising cost of providing member services and benefits.

• Student Membership: $50 (current rate: $40)
• Full Membership: $100 (current rate: $75)
• Corporate Membership: $100 (current rate: $60–$70)
• Associate Membership: $100 (current rate: $75)

Note: The new price structure applies to all member types as a flat rate. 

Joining or renewing membership
Anyone wishing to renew their membership or join under the current dues rates should take action before February 1, 2024. All current members who renew before this date are eligible to renew under current rates for up to two years. 

To join ACES
To join under the current rates, prospective members should visit the Membership page on the ACES website.

To renew under current rates
To renew under current rates, log in and renew. Alternatively, members may log in to the ACES website and click on the Membership Renewal form found in the Member Center page. 

• If your membership is within the renewal, grace, or lapsed period
  Please renew as usual. If you aren’t sure if you’re within this timeframe, try to renew and proceed unless and until you get an error message. 

• If you are not within the renewal period and you want to renew now
  Please email membership@aceseditors.org and ACES will generate an invoice.
