Put your grammar goods on the block and help fund scholarships

January 30, 2020 By ACES Staff ACES News

Calling all word nerds! Gathering all grammar geeks! Beckoning bargain hunters!

Among the many fun things at the ACES conference is the silent auction, which benefits the ACES Education Fund.

This is where people bid on fabulous things, like editor-related swag, artwork, technology, tours, chocolate (of course!) and other fun things.

But where does the stuff come from, we hear you cry? Why, from you!

Bring us your word-themed T-shirts, your coffee mugs yearning to be filled, your company-branded tchotchkes. If you would like it, chances are another editor would like it as well. Do you make things yourself? We LOVE homemade things. Books? Yes, please. Chocolate? Do you have to ask?

The auction will open at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 1, and end PROMPTLY at 7 p.m. A cash bar will be available during the event.

To help us get a head start, please tell us what you’re bringing by filling out this form. You can drop things off at the registration desk (labeled with your name and what you think the value is). Before April 15 you can ship items to:

Abbi Booth
ACES Executive Director
1443 Cardiff Drive
Gardnerville, NV 89410

Remember, the auction is only as good as the items YOU donate. And it pays for scholarships.

We look forward to seeing you in Salt Lake City! And, remember to engage with ACES on social media using #ACES2020SLC.
