Support the ACES Education Fund at the 2024 Spelling Bee

Please join us at the annual ACES Spelling Bee, an annual fundraiser hosted by the ACES Education Fund, held in the early evening of Thursday, April 5.

The Spelling Bee is one of the most anticipated ACES events of the year. Watch — or join — our colleagues compete for laughs, bragging rights, and that most elusive honor, the ACES Spelling Bee crown. The top three winners also receive generous prizes.

The words will be spoken by Merriam-Webster's Peter Sokolowski, who serves as pronouncer for spelling bees worldwide and is a judge at the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee, which selects the words for this event.

The 2024 Spelling Bee celebrity judges are Grant Barrett and Martha Barnette, co-hosts of public radio's "A Way With Words," and Andy Hollandbeck, senior managing editor at The Saturday Evening Post and the 2023 Spelling Bee winner.

Spelling Bee participants must be registered for the conference. The cost to participate is $30 and is limited to the first 14 to sign up. Audience members are an integral part of the Spelling Bee and are encouraged to share their enthusiasm from the sidelines. Tickets to watch are $20 at registration or $25 at the door.

All fees go directly to the ACES Education Fund, which supports the future of editing through its scholarship programs.
