Silent Auction

The ACES Education Fund is one of the highlight events of ACES conferences.

Materials to bid on typically include a wide variety of editing, language, and book-related materials that make great gifts for the word nerds in your life. The top bid at the end of the auction wins the item.

Recent popular Silent Auction selections include:

exclusive editor memorabilia
books signed by the author
Scrabble boards and other word games signed by well-known editors
T-shirts, baseball hats, and coffee mugs with clever sayings and editing puns
ACES swag
artwork
handmade quilts with editing themes.

Silent Auction opens: 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Silent Auction closes: promptly at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the start of the banquet.

Items can be picked up and paid for at the registration desk on Saturday morning, April 6, 8 a.m.–noon. Items not retrieved by noon will be forfeited.

All auction proceeds go directly to the ACES Education Fund, which supports the future of editing through its scholarship programs.

Wednesday, March 20, 2024, is the deadline to submit an auction item donation for consideration. You will be notified once your auction item is approved, along with details on getting the item to San Diego. We will also notify you before the conference to remind you what you're donating.
