Position: Proposal Editor, Contractor (weekly hours will vary)
Location: Remote
Rate: $40/hour
It’s proposal season! At Dragonfly Editorial, we’ve increased our efforts to help government contractors communicate clearly. They call on us to act as an extension of their proposal teams, and we deliver — sometimes under tight schedules and sometimes with ample lead time.
With satisfied clients comes growth, so we’re looking for a new, diverse group of proposal editors to join our seasonal roster.
Responsibilities:
* Copy edit text, following a standard style guide and the client’s in-house style.
* Occasionally serve as lead editor on group editing projects.
What we’re looking for:
* Availability during typical U.S. business hours and occasional weekends (hours vary depending on the project)*
* Three-plus years of demonstrated copy editing experience (proposal experience preferred)
* Demonstrated experience editing materials for one or more of the following industries: health care; architecture, engineering, and construction; or international development
* Digital savvy (SharePoint, Google Docs, Google Drive, virtual desktops, authenticator apps)
* Working knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and/or AP style
* Special considerations: Can pass background check for certain clients
