I work across diverse content areas but specialize in medical editing and fact checking. In health care, clarity is vital to avoid inadvertent misunderstandings and errors. Good editing can make your content more digestible and easier to read for patients and practitioners alike.
I help organizations and authors shape and flesh out ideas (developmental editing), and I copyedit and proofread to ensure precision. I currently specialize in pharma and biotech education and sales training, advisory boards, and continuing education. I occasionally still work with books.
I also offer presentations and workshops on inclusive medical editing, especially for topics related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
I founded the LGBTQ+ Editors Association, and led the ACES: The Society for Editing task force that created and wrote the ACES Guide for New Editors. I was a member of the inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Assessment Task Force for the American Medical Writers Association.
