Substantive and Developmental Editing
I've been writing and editing a variety of content for more than 30 years, and I now edit books in most genres. My specialties are the substantive and developmental editing of nonfiction books. Book genres I've edited include memoir, romantic and historical fiction; Christian fiction and nonfiction; short stories, creative nonfiction, and poetry; sales and marketing; self-help, self-development and leadership development; and instructional and training manuals. My favorite genre to read is sci-fi and I'd love to get my mind into editing some. Right now, I'm putting together a book of poetry, and I'm currently writing one about dogs. I also write web content on health, education, and fashion topics, and product descriptions. I have an active mind, and I love what I do because I'm using what I do well to help others—in this case, writers.
