I use plain language principles to help make your technical and corporate information easier to understand.
I've provided technical writing and editing services to companies of all sizes—from small start-ups to global multinationals—since 1999. Since 2008, I've focused on technical editing, specifically environmental and safety reports for the resources industry and government. For example, I've edited and/or formatted several thousand complex Word documents for a health, environment, and safety team working on a $60 billion LNG project for a global oil and gas company; these documents range from small internal documents (<100p) to lengthy documents required by state / federal regulators (e.g. environment management plans, safety cases for major hazard facilities).
Pre-COVID-19, I regularly spoke at editing and technical communication conferences (Australia, NZ, US), and have presented online webinars for tech writing and editing organisations (Australia, NZ, US, Canada). I've written thousands of articles (hundreds just on Microsoft Word) for my professional blog: https://cybertext.wordpress.com, which has been viewed by more than 19.3 million visitors (as at Jan 2024).
