Hello, and welcome! Professionally, I've been an editor since 1989 (in-house and freelance/consultant) and combined that with research and writing in public health since 2009. I work for major international publishing houses, universities and businesses, as well as individual academics, PhD candidates, emerging authors and experienced authors across a range of genres. My specialty is working with first-time authors who are serious about their writing and want to develop a committed writing practice. In addition to providing a full editing service, I also facilitate training for editors in manuscript assessment and developmental editing in narrative fiction, and coaching and professional supervision for writers and editors who work with sensitive or disturbing content. I'm also a published author: Editing for Sensitivity, Diversity and Inclusion: A guide for professional editors (2020); In Cold Blood: The murder of baby Jordan (2007, New Africa Books).
