I am a SAHM who has always been a grammar nerd. Over the years of my professional life, I have always found a way to be responsible for my organization's publications. This was true when I was a teacher of ESL (I created and edited multiple new textbooks and learning programs), an officer in the U.S. Army (I compiled, wrote portions of, and edited my unit's standard operating procedures), and now as the Editor-in-Chief for a non-profit think tank based in D.C. While in school I tutored international students in literature and English classes. I also tutored English speakers in Japanese. I was an editor for my high school paper. More recently, during my years as a Stay-at-Home parent, I have acquired the Poynter editing certification and a publishing certification from Powell College. I've also acquired my Master's Degree from Norwich University (Diplomacy). Additionally, I have edited the academic and professional papers and books of friends. I have very diverse experiences.
