Patrick Barney has an MA in Professional Writing from the University of Cincinnati and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He earned his bachelor's degree in English from the College of Mount St. Joseph. He has worked as a professional editor for five years and specializes in academic, ESL, business, technical, and creative editing. In addition, he has over 10 years of experience teaching English and composition at a variety of levels, from ninth grade language arts to upper class college writing courses. He is also the editor of Xi Draconis Books, an independent literary press that publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
