I'm a certified editor with credentials from the University of Chicago, with a specialization in developmental editing. I partner with authors like you to help richen your reader’s experience. I bring a rich tapestry of experience in the academic and corporate world to my editing career. I have a journalism degree, an MBA, on top of my editing certificate. This training has honed my skills in copy editing, line editing, and developmental editing for both fiction and nonfiction. In fiction, I deep dive into plot and character development, dialogue, tension, conflict, themes, pacing, and POV; in nonfiction I focus on thesis development, organization, cohesiveness, and tone. My favorite genres are historical, family saga, women’s fiction, fantasy/sci-fi, YA, and mystery/thriller, and I love a good memoir, self-help, or entrepreneurial book.
