I started my own business in 2011 and offer English to French translation, French copy editing, proofreading, structural, stylistic and substantive editing and editing English to French translations as a freelancer. I am a Certified Translator.
I work on various materials—academic journals, childrens' books, educational, cultural, historical, diversity and inclusion and corporate communications.
I work a lot in the medical field for several organizations (Canadian Physiotherapy Association, eHealth Innovation, The University Health Network, SickKids) and provide EN-FR translation and French editing. The diversity and inclusion materials I translated and edited for Special Olympics Canada and PGA of Canada namely allowed me to hone my gender-neutral writing skills in French.
I taught ESL and FSL for six years at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
I have a BA translation English to French with a minor in Spanish and a BEd. I am a member of ACES, Editors Canada and OTTIAQ namely and sat on Editors' Canada National Executive Council for four years as the Director of Francophone Affairs.
