I am a copyeditor and proofreader with a background in technical editing and higher education. I am currently working full-time as a technical editor for a cybersecurity consulting and research firm, where I edit technical content such as security assessment reports for correctness and style. My role also involves copyediting the company’s blog posts, white papers, and other externally facing publications.
I previously worked as a freelance/contract copyeditor for SAP Press, copyediting manuscripts for e-books on the functionality and features of SAP, an enterprise resource planning software. I also worked as a copyeditor of online course materials for an educational technology company. Before I worked in editing, I was an English language instructor at an intensive English school for adult international students studying in the US; I also taught two semesters of English composition for university freshmen and sophomores. I hold a master’s degree in English literature and a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing.
I work daily with the Chicago Manual of Style, and I have extensive experience working with APA and MLA. I'm currently open for work on a freelance/contract basis.
