I am a freelance translator and copyeditor. As a translator, I work from French, Spanish, and Irish into US English and hold American Translators Association certification in two language pairs (FR>EN, ES>EN). My areas of specialization include contract law, international development (grants, progress reports, press releases), and academic translation (arts and humanities, with a particular interest in classical music). I am also a literary translator; in addition to the first complete English translation of Prosper Mérimée's notorious 1827 hoax, _Songs for the Gusle_ (Frayed Edge Press, 2023), I have published numerous translations in literary journals, ranging from nineteenth-century poetry to contemporary short fiction. As a copyeditor, I work primarily with multilingual authors and with academic, literary, and legal texts in translation. I will complete the UCSD Specialized Certificate in Copyediting during the Summer 2023 term.
