I hold a PhD in Education with a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) specialization. I've taught English as a Foreign/Second/Additional Language to children and adults for 30 years as well as TESOL methodology courses, so I have an innate knowledge of the challenges that non-native English speakers and speakers of non-standard English dialects face when writing academic papers.
I have been editing academic papers for over 30 years. I am a former master’s thesis advisor at a private university, where I coached over 400 master’s students through the thesis process and edited their papers. In addition to writing my own dissertation, I have edited ~1000 PhD and EdD dissertations on a wide range of academic subjects.
I've also prepared manuscripts for journal publication and am the managing editor of the Journal of English Learner Education. I have written/ghostwritten/edited ESL textbooks for students, practical methodology books for ESL/EFL instructors, and indexed textbooks. I have extensive experience editing in many areas, some of which are: music, engineering, psychology, MFA/BFA, finance/MBA, education, linguistics, nursing/health sciences, criminal justice, gaming, counseling, professional sports management, ecological/preservation initiatives. I have been hosting APA and research/documentation workshops since 2002 for both students and faculty.
