I am a scholarly publishing professional with 20 years of experience in journal and textbook editing. In addition, I am a skilled project and people manager.
I am proficient in the American Medical Association (AMA) manual of style, having edited hundreds of journal articles and textbook chapters for medical associations. For 18 years I worked at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, first on the Academy's flagship clinical peer-reviewed review journal, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, then as Managing Editor of Textbooks, and then again on JAAOS as Managing Editor of the review content.
I have since worked with several medical societies on textbooks, journal articles, and confidential internal strategic documents. In addition, I have edited two books on association leadership written by the owners of a consulting firm that specializes in helping associations grow and thrive. My clients include the American Academy of Pediatrics, Radiological Society of North America, National Association of Healthcare Quality, .OrgCommunity, and the author of a self-help book.
