Currently based in New York City, I am a freelance proofreader and copy editor with over a decade of professional experience. As the assistant editor-in-chief and later the editor-in-chief of an academic journal on language education, I edited papers by non-native and native users of English. I have also worked on English language teaching (ELT) textbooks for the Japan market and the text in art installations by Jenny Holzer. The feedback I give is constructive and detailed to support a positive outcome for your work.
I taught English as a foreign language, including academic writing skills, at a Japanese university for 11 years and co-authored two ELT textbooks published in Japan. An avid reader, I enjoy exploring a wide range of topics.
