I am an experienced copy editor, proofreader, and graphic designer. I believe it is an honor to be entrusted with the projects that others have poured their heart and creative energy into. Throughout my various careers, I've found great satisfaction in helping authors, screenwriters, small businesses, non-profit organizations, politicians, and corporations craft their written and visual messages for both internal and external audiences.
Freelance copy editing became my full-time job five years ago. Most recently, my focus has shifted to academic editing. In just the past two years, I have edited five academic books (published by Cambridge University Press, Africa World Press, Palgrave, Lexington) and numerous academic articles, including several for ESL authors. I can also create eBooks.
I completed my copy editing certification at UCSD, and I have a BS in Political Science (minor in Anthropology). Other types of copy editing jobs I have worked on include the following:
