Always the "go-to" reviewer of management's and my peers' written work, after a 15-year government career, I put my editing and proofreading skills to the test as a freelancer. Turns out...I love it. I thoroughly enjoy being the final set of eyes upon someone's work before they hit "publish."
For the past six years, I've worked with government contractors, small businesses, independent authors, and real estate agents. I'm skilled in proofreading corporate training materials (both web-based and instructor-led), website proofreading (any and all), and any written works needing fine-tuning.
I've honed my skills not only through doing the work, but through the intensive Proofread Anywhere course and many courses at American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI), such as AWAI Method for Copywriting, Copyediting, SEO Copywriting Success, Site Audits Made Simple, and Writing Case Studies.
I believe that proofreaders provide a largely underappreciated and underutilized service, and that we greatly improve any written content put before us.
