Odyssey Editing offers professional copyediting for businesses, organizations, and individuals. My specialty is copyediting materials that have an international focus or background. I have copyedited in the corporate, tech start-up, international development, nonfiction publishing, nonprofit, and academic arenas during the last thirty years. I have an eclectic international background and a passion for detailed observation—I’ve studied eight languages, lived in five countries, and traveled to twenty-six countries. I will enhance your message by ensuring that your communications are in excellent form through clarity, conciseness, correctness, and consistency. If your business or organization is involved internationally, has non-native English speakers, or publishes translated materials, I want to help polish your words and allow you to communicate with excellence. I hold a master’s degree in French Language and Literature and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French.
I have used the Chicago Manual of Style and Word's Track Changes regularly for 18 years. I markup Adobe PDFs and work in Google Docs if required. I am also familiar with APA Style and SBL style, AP Stylebook, World Bank style guide, and various other in-house style guides.
