I am a professional editor and writer who is obsessed with words and helping others make the most of them. I work with authors to develop their stories and polish their completed manuscripts so that they can present readers with the very best representation of their work.
The services I offer include copy editing, proofreading, and developmental editing. I work with both fiction and nonfiction. Since I read in many genres, I also enjoy editing in many of them, especially historical fiction, young adult, romance, mystery, thriller, and suspense. When I work with authors I use a gentle, yet firm approach, to make sure that authors are comfortable with the process, understand my editing suggestions, and work at a pace that is comfortable for them.
I have a BS in Psychology from the University of La Verne and a Copyediting Certificate from the University of Southern California, San Diego. I have also completed Developmental Editing courses through the EFA, of which I am an active member.
