I am a freelance copy editor, proofreader, and writer working primarily for Hachette Book Group and other private clients such as the University of Colorado. I have bachelor's degrees from the University of Kansas in journalism and Spanish with more than a decade of experience as a copy editor. My areas of interest include environmental studies, Spanish language, world cultures, travel, history, music, and outdoor recreation, though I'm generally willing to work with virtually any subject matter.
I also have experience as a travel writer and have most recently written articles for the University of Colorado's alumni magazine. I have a strong familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style, the Associated Press Stylebook, and the MLA Style Manual.
My goal as a professional editor and writer is to listen to my clients' needs and meet those expectations in a way that is creative, timely, efficient, and never mundane.
