Description:

I love reading! Since 2018, I've read nearly 3,000 novels and novellas, mostly in the romance genre. The ones I've enjoyed the most included great stories and clean texts. Homonyms, misplaced punctuation, anachronisms, and other errors pull me out of the story.

And that's true of most readers. I know you've seen the reviews on Amazon and Goodreads that scorn the books that aren't copyedited. I can prevent those reviews by giving your text the professional treatment it deserves.

A little bit about me: When I'm not reading or editing, I'm knitting, spinning, weaving, or cooking and baking. I grew up in a city but have strong ties to the agriculture industry. At one point, I could play eight musical instruments and sing—but not all at the same time!

I'm a fat liberationist, and I advocate for the inclusion of marginalized people—fat, disabled, neurodivergent, queer, etc.—in romance fiction. While I have a strong grasp of Christian theology and am comfortable working with faith-filled stories, I readily edit romance of all heat levels, from kissing-only to kink.

New in August 2021: I now edit children’s books! Board books and picture books are delightful little projects that fit nicely into my schedule between full-length novels. The same skills needed to edit romance are important in children’s literature: understanding of the genre and editorial standards, identification with readers, and technical knowledge.

I offer Americanization for romance, fantasy, children’s literature, and other fiction genres. I identify cultural conventions and exchange them for phrases and practices more readily understood in the United States.
