I am a copyeditor and proofreader with more than fifteen years of experience. Prior to starting my own business, I was a copyeditor or senior production editor at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers; Weekly Reader, which published educational magazines for children; and the Philadelphia Inquirer. I am a member of the Advisory Council of Conscious Style Guide and the Executive Board of ACES, the Society for Editing.
Among the books I’ve copyedited are three Caldecott Medal winners, three Drue Heinz Literature Prize winners, a National Book Award finalist, a Printz Honor Book, a Sibert Honor Book, a New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book, and numerous New York Times bestsellers.
I specialize in copyediting and proofreading children’s and young adult fiction and nonfiction books, but I have also worked on nonfiction and fiction titles for adults. My clients include book publishers such as Hachette Book Group, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Bloomsbury, Twirl/Bayard Éditions, and Bala Kids, as well as independent authors and clients.
