HOW I WORK: As I become familiar with your voice, vision, and project goals, I listen well, ask plenty of questions, and welcome feedback. No two edits are exactly the same, so I make sure I understand what you want to get out of yours. In addition to project-specific needs, I pay attention to flow, word choice, authorial/institutional voice, inclusive and socially responsive language, persuasiveness and logic, artfulness, succinctness, consistency, and the success of style choices.
WHAT I WORK ON: I work on a lot of "didactic" material — writing that teaches or shows how, whether formally or not — and more, including:

I love learning something new during an edit, but I have particular expertise in the areas of psychology, cognitive science, and education; racialized, queer/LGBTQ+, and Jewish experiences; work towards DEI; and translation from Hebrew or Yiddish.
