I have over 40 years of experience in the publishing industry. I began my career working with organizations and nonprofits on their publications (newsletters, magazines, annual reports and books). Editing morphed into writing articles for my clients' publications and then other publications including interviews and articles on topics from animal-assisted therapy to gardening with native plants to body image for young girls.
Continuing education gave me the confidence to work with fiction authors and poets. My education as a graphic designer gave me the skills to help clients get their words out into the world both digitally and in print.
In addition to my degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, I hold a Professional Certificate from the University of Washington in Digital Publishing. I am a member of ACES, The Editorial Freelancers Association, the Northwest Editors Guild, The Book Arts Guild, The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, and Publishers Northwest.
