I’ve always had a passion for storytelling. Before founding Blue Hyphen Creative, I worked for more than two decades in fundraising as a writer and editor, grant manager, and prospect researcher. I’ve helped all kinds of organizations—civic, healthcare, arts, education, historic preservation, and libraries—tell their stories to great success. Over the years, I have written and edited hundreds of white papers, reports, and other donor communications. My proposals have raised millions in grants for nonprofits in northeast Ohio. I have a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Akron and a master of library science degree from Kent State University.
My favorite genres include literary fiction, science fiction, historical fiction, and biography. I also enjoy working with scholars on academic works (e.g., theses and dissertations) in a variety of disciplines. I have experience working with both native and non-native English speakers.
