My name is Aisha Matthews and I am a Yale graduate and published scholar offering services in editing and copyediting. As the Managing Editor of the Journal of Science Fiction, a peer-reviewed academic journal, my duties heavily involve both global and local revisions, and I specialize in both developmental and standard editing.
I have also successfully provided freelance editing services on various types of projects including fiction and nonfiction books, web copy, email correspondence, memos, academic articles, and dissertations.
As of 2021, I have started my own editing business--Editing by Aisha--where I offer the aforementioned services for independent clients and publishing houses. In particular, I specialize in academic, memoir, and self-help works.
