I help authors sharpen thoughts and ideas into clear, poignant messages.
I am a structural, stylistic, and copy editor for works of nonfiction, whether trade or self-published, focusing on self-help and memoir. I chose this specialty because of a love for these genres. I read widely, but always come back to nonfiction for renewal and energy. I am your biggest fan.
As a student affiliate of Editors Canada, I serve as Media Coordinator & Marketing Volunteer for the twig, Editors Barrie. My responsibilities involve member engagement and social media promotion of events. I have also penned a guest post on Editors Toronto blog, Boldface.
Educated as a registered nurse, I spent five years working in hospital specializing in cardiology care. I am currently enrolled in Simon Fraser University's editing certificate and on track to finish in 2022.
I help bring stories to life. When I was a nurse, a patient's story was essential to their care. Finding the gaps and making that story clear was my ongoing task. My passion for the written word and helping others has led me to work with writers. I listen for the story behind the words and work with authors to bring that story forward.
