Nathan spent the first part of his professional career ignoring AP style as the deputy-head of Reuters' television bureau for Russia and the CIS. Since returning to the U.S., he has worked as editor for Sunflower Publishing, a company focusing on city/regional magazines in Kansas and (through its parent company, Ogden Publications) other areas of the United States. Nathan joined ACES shortly after taking a fabulous Poynter/ACES seminar under Merrill Perlman and has continued as a member even after Bill Walsh told him at the ACES St. Louis conference that he couldn't ban the word "passion" from all his publications. (Of course, Walsh was right. But, still ... )
