Alyssa Brown is the Copy Editor for Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), in Washington, D.C. Previously, she worked at her hometown paper, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, in a variety of editing and design roles, and was part of the staff awarded a Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Reporting for coverage of the massacre at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue. Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y., studying Spanish and journalism, and her involvement in the college newspaper piqued her interest in copy editing and journalism.
