ACES Announces Christine Steele Is the New ACES Editor

By Gigi Sutton, MBA

Dear ACES members,

I am thrilled to announce that Christine Steele has joined our team as the new ACES editor.

With over 25 years of experience in editing and writing, including 12 years in financial services, Christine brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the craft that will undoubtedly strengthen our organization.

Christine Steele

Christine has been a dedicated member of ACES for many years, volunteering her service on our Board of Directors for eight years, including roles on the executive committee and as director of membership. Her commitment to our community and her extensive expertise in copyediting make her a perfect addition to our staff.

As editor, Christine will be responsible for all copyediting of ACES materials; managing our quarterly newsletter, Tracking Changes; and overseeing membership and sponsorship initiatives.

Some of you may already know Christine from her contribution to our Interview with an Editor series and her insightful blog posts, which include topics like imposter syndrome, pronouns, and critical-thinking copyediting. Her enthusiasm for words and fun approach to copyediting are sure to inspire us all.

Please join me in congratulating Christine and welcoming her to our team, alongside me and Sasha Nyary, communications and marketing manager. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to the great work ahead.

Welcome, Christine!

Warm regards,

Gigi Sutton, MBA
Executive Director, ACES
