Nadia Geagea Pupa Wins the 2026 Robinson Prize, the Industry’s Highest Honor
ACES: The Society for Editing has awarded its 2026 Robinson Prize to Nadia Geagea Pupa, CEO and co-founder of Pique Publishing, host of The Editor’s Half Hour podcast, and a member of ACES since 2021.
The prize is named for Pam Robinson, a founder and past president of ACES: The Society for Editing, and is the industry’s highest honor.
One of Robinson’s goals was to make editors more visible in the workplace and encourage them to take a constructive role in the publishing process. Nominees are evaluated on a combination of elements, which can include editing, design, mentoring and training, fostering a sense of teamwork and pride among colleagues, and anything else that furthers the craft of professional editing.
Pupa describes her 20-year editing career as having the “mission to elevate the visibility of editors, strengthen professional communities, and create opportunities for growth, connection, and advocacy.”
Karen Yin (Robinson Prize 2017) wrote, “Nadia has long established herself as a leader and an innovator. Generosity with knowledge seems to be the guiding force in her initiatives. Many times, she has used her platform to promote editors of diverse backgrounds, expanding the perception of who editors really are.”
Jamaal D. Pittman (Robinson Prize 2025) adds, “Nadia has helped reinvigorate and increase the visibility of our profession, and she naturally brings a vitality and freshness that should help keep it viable for years to come.”
Pupa’s notable achievements include:
- Creator and host of The Editor’s Half-Hour podcast
- Author and creator of Editors Affirmation Cards
- Regular presenter and sponsor at ACES conferences
- Founder of Pique Publishing, which offers writing, editing, and design services to corporate clients and authors.
