You must be a current ACES member to serve on a committee.

How long is the commitment?

Committee terms last one year and run with the ACES fiscal year.

Open committees

Training Committee 

13 openings

The Training Committee promotes the continuing education and professional development of ACES members. It focuses on outreach that supports opportunities to engage members with a diverse set of professional groups for both technical and personal growth within the industry.

Awards Committee 

3 openings

The Awards Committee oversees and evaluates ACES awards and contests, including the Robinson Prize, the Glamann Award, the Bill Connolly Rising Star Awards, and the Headline Contest. Members review criteria, support judging processes, and help ensure the awards reflect and honor the full breadth of the editing community.

DEIA Advisory Committee

The DEIA Advisory Committee advises ACES leadership on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility matters in association strategy and programming. It serves as the voice of the ACES membership on DEIA matters and helps ensure that education, resources, and programs reflect the needs of the full editing community.

Membership Committee

6 openings

The Membership Committee works with ACES staff and leadership to advise on member recruitment and retention. Members identify what editors need, recommend ways to grow and strengthen the community, and help ensure that every member feels informed, welcomed, and supported.
