Types of ACES memberships
Keep learning with free webcasts, discounted training, and specialized editing programs. Members receive:
Full membership — $100/year
Our most common membership type and what makes up most of our membership.
Editors working in academia, book publishing, corporations, education, freelance, government, marketing, publications, nonprofits, and retirees from these categories. These members are entitled to vote in elections and run for society executive positions.
Student membership — $50/year
Full- or part-time students enrolled at accredited colleges and universities who are pursuing a course of study leading to an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree.
Persons enrolled only in classes for added professional certification, including courses offered through ACES, are not eligible for student status. Non-renewing.
Associate membership — $100/year
Those interested in editing but who have no professional background in the craft. Writers are also welcome.
Corporate membership
For teams of three or more within the same organization.
