Why present?
Presenting an ACES Academy webcast gives you the opportunity to:
- Share your knowledge with editors across the profession.
- Help fellow editors solve real-world challenges.
- Raise your professional visibility and showcase your expertise.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the editing community.
- Receive a $200 honorarium for each webcast.
What makes a good webcast?
The best webcast ideas are practical, specific, and relevant to editors.
You might share:
- A workflow, process, or tool you use regularly
- Lessons learned from a project or challenge
- Research you've conducted or a topic you've explored deeply
- Strategies that have improved your editing practice or business
- Emerging trends and issues affecting editors today
If you've ever thought, "I wish someone had explained this to me earlier," you may have the makings of a great webcast.
How it works
- Submit your webcast proposal.
- The ACES Academy team reviews submissions and selects sessions that fit upcoming programming needs.
- If your proposal is accepted, we'll work with you to schedule your webcast and prepare your presentation.
- Webcasts are presented live on the third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. ET.
- Speakers may also choose to provide a slide deck that can be shared with registered attendees through the ACES Academy portal.
Ready to share what you know?
Every editor has knowledge, experience, and insights that can help someone else.
If you have an idea that could benefit the editing community, we'd love to hear from you.
