Don't know the difference between a tag and a hashtag? Come to this special pre-camp workshop on Social Media 101. We'll help you set up a Twitter and Facebook account and give you the basic tools to get started in social media.

This is a pre-camp workshop for Art & Science of Digital Editing

 

Art & Science of Digital Editing, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What we’ll cover: 1. Structure of content 2. Tools to evaluating content 3. Lessons for writing 4. The role of emotions 5. Words that prompt the most engagement on social 6. Critical elements in display type.

Digital Verification, 10:30 am – 12:30 p.m.

The internet is filled with unicorns and cute kittens -- and misinformation and hoaxes. This workshop will give you free tools to help you verify social media accounts and posts; photos and videos; and fact check sources.

Cost: $60 ACES members & RTDNA member/$85 nonmembers

Level-up: Editing for Video2 – 3:30 p.m.

Trainer: Steve Cope

Video isn’t going anywhere, and plucking copy from other places just doesn’t cut it, so writing just for video is a must-have skill for every editor. We’ll talk voiceover, lower thirds and packages, along with SEO specific to video and so much more in this 90-minute session that helps editors level-up their broadcast skills.

Cost: $60 ACES & RTDNA members/$85 nonmembers
