Sofía García Vargas is a junior at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg majoring in Journalism and Digital Communication. She is an international student who was born in Colombia, South America, but grew up in Costa Rica, Central America. Sofía dreams of working as a sports journalist and entertainment journalist one day. Her passion for writing and culturally diverse background has led her to write for The Sandbox, St. Petersburg College’s online newspaper and Outcast Media, an online publication at USFSP. Besides writing, she enjoys photography, video editing, and traveling.
