Star Tribune is looking for a slot editor for our sports department, working mostly at night to produce one of America’s biggest and best sports sections. While print production will be a focus many nights, our copy desk chiefs oversee the quality of the entire night sports report, including digital publishing.
Candidates should have experience coordinating a print section with other editors, photographers and designers, and coordinating coverage with reporters in the field. Duties include leading a team of more than a half-dozen editors nightly; coordinating game coverage; determining and prioritizing our best journalism; supporting strong visual presentations; and mastering Star Tribune style.
This position will include night and weekend hours. Sports slot editors are typically scheduled for four 10-hour shifts a week. More details about the job and benefits are in the link to apply.
