One of the primary roles of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as part of the Federal Reserve System, the nation's central bank, is to contribute to the System’s mandated goals of price stability and maximum employment.

The key missions of the Research Division are to support the Bank’s President in monetary policy and to conduct high quality economic research. The Division is composed of three research departments – Research, Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute, and Economic Analysis. They share their expertise with academia and policy makers through presentations, conferences, and publications.

The Division is seeking a Research Editor in the Support function. The Research Editor will provide editorial services to economists in support of their research and policy work. This position reports to the Operations and Support Director in Research Information Services.

Responsibilities:

The Research Editor provides a full range of professional editing services, including copyediting and proofreading papers, articles, and reports related to economics, policy, and business. Using standard editorial techniques and a general knowledge of economics, the Research Editor ensures that these materials conform to established standards in grammar, language usage, style, and format.

The Research Editor manages the production schedule for the division’s online journal, manages the flow of copyright agreements and reprint requests, and assists the division officer in managing editorial volume and hiring contract editors.
