Al-Monitor, a trusted and award-winning independent source of Middle East news and analysis based in Washington, DC, is seeking a part-time copyeditor to review, fact check and copyedit news articles and analyses.
The candidate must be familiar with AP Style and have extensive editing skills in a fast-paced media organization. The location is flexible in the US, but preference is for candidates in Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones. Candidates must be available to work afternoon to evening hours Monday through Friday in the Eastern time zone. The ideal candidate has some knowledge of the Middle East and experience working with content written by non-native English speakers to improve readability. Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and basic photo editing is a plus.
We will pay $35 per hour for 20 hours a week.
