Literature SME – Lumina Datamatics

In partnership with one of our academic publishers, Lumina Datamatics is seeking Literature and Creative Writing Subject Matter Experts to develop online study guides for best-selling works of fiction and non-fiction titles for one of our partners.

M.A. or Ph.D. in English or MFA in Creative Writing/A.B.A in English or other degrees in Arts and Humanities. Must have expertise in literature and be a proven writer with experience writing for academic and non-academic audiences. Candidates who have published articles in literary journals, or who have published creative works of fiction or nonfiction, are highly preferred. However, since the average customer/user is a high school or undergraduate student, writers need to be able to write about literature in a way that is engaging and informative for a general audience. Experience teaching English/Literature at the college or high school level is a plus and preferred.

Work hours are flexible as long as you meet the deadlines. The compensation varies by the assigned title and length of the book and the corresponding study guide. Many of the works we are writing about are recent bestsellers and YA fiction; others are older classics and lesser-known works from well-known authors and playwrights.

The project is already in progress and new writers can start immediately as we have many unassigned titles. Deadlines range from mid-November 2022 to late January 2023.
