PAE is seeking Information Officers to provide information support to the U.S. Agency for International Development's offices of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP) and U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) in the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance. USAID/FFP and USAID/OFDA provide humanitarian assistance for the U.S. Government (USG) in response to natural disasters, complex emergencies, and disease outbreaks.. As part of a regional team based in Washington, D.C., or serving on disaster response teams in Washington or overseas, Information Officers monitor and report on humanitarian conditions and response activities.
Willingness and ability to serve on extended international deployments to disaster zones, including conflict-affected areas, is required. Information Officers should expect to travel as much as 50 percent of the year.
Qualified candidates will possess a master's degree and excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to work under tight deadlines in an extremely fast-paced and collaborative environment. Foreign language ability preferred.

The writing sample must be an original briefing memorandum of 350 words or less for senior USG officials describing humanitarian conditions and response activities following a natural disaster in a specific country (outside the United States).
