Work closely with the project manager to achieve the goals of the project, while adhering to delivery timelines and budget parameters
Edit content to correct all spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting
Edit content to match AMA style
Ensure consistency in Word style throughout
Implement editorial style guide for boldface, italics, mnemonics
Cross-check table, figure, and box citations against the original source
Ensure references are cited in text


Deep knowledge of medical terminology and acronyms
Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
Scrupulous attention to detail
Ability to engage in digital production processes
Excellent time management skills to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as a member of the team
Agility to develop new technology skills as needed
Professionalism and commitment to excellence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience in medical copyediting
Experience with HTML and online publishing a plus
