SUNY Press is seeking freelance copy editors experienced with heavily annotated academic monographs and edited volumes of various subjects, with emphasis on CMS, MLA, and sometimes APA as primary style guides. Our areas of scholarly focus include African American studies, Asian studies, education, environmental studies, indigenous studies, Italian American studies, Jewish studies, philosophy, political science, queer studies, religion, transpersonal psychology, and women’s studies, to name a few. Experience working with Word’s track changes feature is essential.
Please send all interested queries to Jenn Bennett-Genthner, production editor, at email@example.com. Note that a copy editing test will be administered before consideration of future projects.
