Position: Editor (six-month consultation)
Location: London, New York, NY or Washington, D.C.
Status: Parental leave cover from January 24, 2022–August 19, 2022
Reports to: Chief Communications and Creative Officer
Rate: $320/day

Background
Malala Fund is seeking an experienced editor to oversee the editorial direction and production of all of our external-facing content and shape the organisation’s public voice and tone. This position will work with departments across the organisation to create cohesive messaging across Malala Fund, while also tailoring the writing for each project to its target audience. The consultant will maintain the organisation's high editorial standards, a central component of our brand.

Purpose
This position will also lead on all aspects of Assembly, Malala Fund’s Webby Award-winning digital publication and newsletter. The consultant will direct all aspects of content and strategy, engaging girls around the world in Malala Fund’s work and helping them tell their stories.
